This is one item that I may have gotten a better deal ordering directly from the tasty cake company.I did not return the order because I had to have it for a birthday gift for a New Jersey native. The lady loved them and she shared with us.After all the hype about Tastykakes I can only say that they were good enough but not as great as I expected.

This product, "Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Reggio Emilia", is made from cooked grape "must" that is aged over many years while it is transfered into ever smaller barrels of different woods. Through this aging and evaporation process, this product matures into a very unique "condimento".
After a minimum of 12 years, a sample of this product is given to a consortium where it is evaluated against the standard for "Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale di Reggio Emilia". If approved, this product can be given a "silver label" = 12 years old, a "red label" = 25 years old and then there is this current product, a "gold label" 50 to 75 to 100 years old. The consortium places the product in their unique bottle and then, and only then, can the product carry the name "Aceto Balsamico Tradizionale."

There is not a simple way to describe the taste other that to say "if you have ever tasted vinegar, it is NOTHING like that." This is a product that used in drops on fine cheese or over perfectly ripe strawberries or just drizzled over a perfectly cooked porterhouse steak.
You do not make salad dressing from this product!
The Italians categorize this product as a "digestivo" (after dinner drink to aid digestion) or a "condimento", used as I described above.

All you have to do is have a nice person put 2 drops on your tongue, then you will understand everything I've written above.

It has the pepper feel, but adds a bit of pine and citrus note that is hard to compare with regular pepper. Be creative with it and you will find it adds worlds of difference to sauces and seasonings-let alone a simple grind on finished meats or veg.

(More customer reviews)These are gimmicky drinks that are pretty good. The origional flavor is a lot like sprite or 7up, Lychee is nice and tart, and Peach is very.. peachy.
A couple complaints about the product would be the pretty small-size of the bottle, at least by what we're used to (8oz bottles when we're used to 20oz Coke/Pepsi). Also, the gimmick can make for some messy openings. Whenever the marble is released, the soda never fails to overflow in fizz.

All the varieties taste the same to me but maybe this will change as I eat it more. They are light and crispy without any mushy, chewy, or soggy texture. The popped kernels are smaller than your typical popcorn but I don't find anything wrong with that. Virtually all the kernels pop when cooked.

Note: Despite the pretty kernel colors, they all have the same white color when popped.
