(More customer reviews)If you have a good spice trader in your town they can cut this price in half. It is so different from black pepper I feel its description is lacking. It has the pepper feel, but adds a bit of pine and citrus note that is hard to compare with regular pepper. Be creative with it and you will find it adds worlds of difference to sauces and seasonings-let alone a simple grind on finished meats or veg.

Long pepper (pipper longum) is around 1 inch long and it is harvest in Indonesia. It is from the same familly than peppercorn. Black pepper has a stronger taste but Long pepper has much more aromas. It is better to buy it in whole and to grind it yourself to have the best of its aromas. It can replace easily black peppercorn.
